Isopods thive on decomposing organic matter from natural décor and vegetation. To help maintain a healthy colony, calcium can be added to their diet or mixed into their leaf litter as well as the occasional addition of commercial isopod diet.Habitat and Care

Native to damp, humid environments, Ispods thrive in stable covered tropical bio active habitats. Colonies can be kept in simple set ups with the parameters listed below. A five gallon tank is sufficient for small colonies, expanding into larger habitats as they multiply. Habitats should covered and have 2-3 inches of tropical substrate with a layer of leaf litter and other natural decor on top. Humidity should be monitored often and adjusted as needed. Regular spot cleaning and replenishment of leaf litter will keep the habiat and ispopods thriving.
