As a beginner pet, Guinea pigs are fairly easy to care for, enjoy regular handling and human interaction. Clean water, food and Timothy hay should be offered daily and additional guinea pig specific chews are needed to help keep their teeth from over growing. A soft non dusty bedding should be used and spot cleaned daily. Weekly, the habitat should be deep cleaned. To keep your Guinea pig thriving, they will benefit from daily playtime outside of their habitat.
