Encore® Natural Farm Fresh Fixins™ Multigrain with Flaxseed is a nutritious foraging treat for chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys. The variety of seeds and grains in this diverse blend helps stimulate the natural foraging instincts by providing a source of entertainment and activity for the life enrichment of backyard birds.
We added golden flaxseed which is high in alpha-Linolenic acid, an Omega-3 fatty acid important in the diet of poultry and other fowl. Flaxseed is best fed as a treat or supplement in addition to the regular daily diet. It also helps laying hens produce eggs enriched with Omega-3 fatty acids. When fed as directed, it generally takes 3-5 weeks for the additional Omega-3 fatty acids to process to the egg yolk. It’s a great snack or treat for chickens and other backyard fowl!
